A 10-year-old boy remains in a serious condition today after being injured by a moving water tanker in Fernside, North Canterbury, yesterday afternoon.
Acting Senior Sergeant Brendon Strieker said police were helping Worksafe investigate what happened.
He said the boy was in a serious, but stable, condition in intensive care.
