A former America's Cup official has taken a top job at the Health Ministry as it continues with a major restructure.
Stephen Barclay, who was chief executive of the San Francisco America's Cup Events Authority, was named today as the Ministry's new Chief People and Transformation Officer.
Director-general of health Chai Chuah said Stephen O'Keefe, a former general manager of KiwiRail, will be the new chief financial officer.
The former acting director of the disestablished National Health Board, Michael Hundleby, is the new Director of Critical Projects; Alison Thom, of the Education Ministry is the new head for Maori Leadership; and Jill Lane, also formerly of the National Health Board, is the new director of service commissioning.
Five more appointments, including that of chief medical officer, are still to be announced.
