Refugees continue to flee fighting around Aleppo

8:46 am on 16 April 2016

Human Rights Watch says at least another 30,000 people have fled the fighting around Aleppo in northern Syria in the past 48 hours.

It has called on Turkey to open its borders to let them in.

The campaign group has accused Turkish border-guards of shooting at some of those who have been displaced, as Syrian government forces, jihadis and rebels battle for control over Aleppo province.
