A man on the run for a year who the police say was carrying firearms and illegal drugs has been arrested.
The 24-year-old was arrested in Kihikihi near Te Awamutu last night.
The police said he had two firearms, ammunition, cannabis and methamphetamine.
He was set to appear in court tomorrow.
