Kiwi Airlines tight-lipped on plane plans

Kiwi Regional Airlines boss Ewan Wilson is remaining tight-lipped over whether it plans to add more planes to its single aircraft fleet.

Mr Wilson told RNZ News he would announce soon whether or not the airline intended to expand its fleet.

The airline has one 34-seat twin turbo-prop Saab 340A, which was grounded for repairs last week, forcing the cancellation of services until Air Chathams was called in to help.

The airline announced yesterday it would fly more services between Nelson and Tauranga, and Nelson and Dunedin, and twice-weekly connections between Christchurch, Dunedin and Nelson.
