A woman is dead following a car crash near Palmerston North this morning.
Police said her car rolled after colliding with a van at an intersection, near Bunnythorpe Village, at 8.30am.
An ambulance service spokesperson said one person who was trapped was freed and taken to hospital.
The serious crash unit was investigating.
