Anti-vaccination campaigners blamed for Melbourne measles outbreak

Anti-vaccination campaigners are being blamed for a measles outbreak spreading in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

So far, five cases of measles have been reported in the northern suburb of Brunswick.

Australian Medical Association Victoria president Doctor Tony Bartone said the fact that the rates of immunity were dropping in the community was a contributing factor.

Last week health officials revealed that about one in 10 Australian children were not fully immunised.
