Automotive detergent has spilled into a stream after a crash on the outskirts of Hamilton this morning, the Waikato Regional Council says.
Two containers split and discharged detergent into the stream when the vehicle crashed south of the intersection of State Highway 39 and Finlayson Rd.
Automotive detergents could be toxic but had been diluted by flowing water, the council said.
