A new film is being made about the life of the New Zealand race car driver, Bruce McLaren.
The documentary is being directed by Roger Donaldson who made the film, The World's Fastest Indian, about another New Zealand speed pioneer, Burt Munro.
McLaren, who was a race car driver, designer and inventor in the 1950s and 60s, was killed testing one of his cars in 1970.
He also founded the highly successful Formula One McLaren Motor Racing Team.
His sister, Jan McLaren, says the family is excited about the project and are working alongside the producers to provide access to memorabilia and photos.
