Legislation which would limit overseas investment in the residential housing market has been drawn from the ballot at Parliament today.

The bill in the name of Labour MP Phil Twyford was one of four members' bills pulled.

Another in the name of Green Party's Mojo Mathers would amend the commerce act to control the conduct of supermarkets.

A members' bill sponsored by Maori Party's Marama Fox would endorse the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in oaths and declarations.

National's Mark Mitchell is sponsoring a bill that would stop benefit payments to offenders who repeatedly fail to comply with community sentences.

The ballot was the largest in the history of the ballot with 78 bills entered.
