Police have arrested a 17-year-old man in relation to a ram raid on a sports store near Kerikeri.
They allege he is one of four people who burgled Stirling Sports in Waipapa last week, after smashing through the side of the store with their car.
The teenager has appeared in the Kaikohe District Court and been remanded in custody.
Inspector Al Symonds said police were confident of making more arrests for the burglary and they were keen to hear about anyone selling cheap caps or sports gear.
