Waikato police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man with sexual offending against a 14-year-old girl at Te Kauwhata three years ago.
Police said the girl and the man knew each other through a community organisation.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whitehead said police were investigating the possibility of further offending, as the man has several roles that bring him into contact with young girls.
He has appeared in court and been released on bail conditions that restrict him from having contact with females under 16.
He has been given interim name suppression.
