A man has had a nasty accident with an electric saw at the top of the South Island, cutting off one finger and severing two others on the same hand.
The victim - in his mid 60s - was working at a private property in the Collingwood area.
He was treated by paramedics before being flown to the plastics unit at Hutt Hospital to see if doctors could reattach his finger.
