The greatest boxer of the modern era is Terence 'Bud' Crawford, after the American thoroughly outclassed Canelo Alvarez across 12 rounds in Las Vegas.
Billed as the biggest bout in modern boxing, two of the greatest fighters of this generation went toe to toe in a clash of the undisputed v undefeated super-middleweight kings.
There is room on the throne for only one GOAT and that title is also heading to Nebraska
Crawford's superior speed and movement negated Alvarez's power, and he was able to land counters at will.
After a close and calculated opening four rounds, Crawford began to find success with blitzing combinations, controlling the ring, until Alvarez finally came back to life in the ninth.
Crawford proved his chin was as durable as his gas tank, able to absorb the late onslaught by Alvarez, while firing back with precision counter combinations.
The final bell was academic, the judges giving Crawford an unanimous decision 116-112 and 115-113 twice to cap an incredible, career-defining performance.
