A 59-year-old man is facing a charge of careless driving causing injury after a bus crashed into a tree in South Auckland earlier this month, injuring five students.
Auckland police have confirmed that the man has been summoned to appear in court over the bus crash.
The crash happened on Elliot Street in the South Auckland suburb of Pahurehure, on the morning of 7 May.
The bus was a public service operated by Ritchies and carried students from Rosehill College and Rosehill Intermediate. Five of those students were injured in the crash, with three taken to hospital.
Police said an investigation was continuing to determine if further charges would be laid.
