OrientXpress
Going since 2006, The Orient Xpress is a nine-member Wellington-based band who pride themselves on evoking the sounds of pre-WWII jazz music from Shanghai. They also use traditional instruments like the Pi-pa (Chinese lute) as well as adapt famous songs of the era into Mandarin. Lynda attended the 24-hour Musicathon at St John's Church to hear them as they raise funds for Water for the Westbank.
