Anthea Gunner and friends

Anthea Gunner has a face that lights up a room and a love of horses that will never fade. She has been riding for the past twenty years, starting at the age of six, competing in both show jumping and eventing.

But January 11, 2006 was a day that she will never forget. A tragic accident cost her the use of her legs.

While most would worry whether or not they'd be able to walk again, it was the least of Anthea's worries. What she feared most of all was losing the ability to do the one thing she loved most.

Just three years on with the support of friends and family, Anthea's unstoppable determination has her back in the saddle. With her sights set firmly on the future, she speaks candidly about her horrific ordeal, and shares her view on life beyond her wheelchair.
