Jonathan Boston is the co-chair of the Expert Advisory Group on Solutions to Child Poverty and a Professor of Public Policy at Victoria University's School of Government. The 78 recommendations in the group's report include a nationwide food-in-schools programme, introducing Government-backed loans to help low-income families avoid borrowing from loan sharks, a Warrant of Fitness for rental houses and passing on child support payments to sole parents on benefits.
