Pacific Island language expert hits out at governments

Galumalemana Alfred Hunkin is the head of Samoan studies at Victoria University and recently resigned from the NZ Minister of Pacific Affairs Pacific Advisory Council, frustrated at what he says is the lack of commitment of successive Governments to fostering and supporting Pacific Island languages in New Zealand schools.
