RNZ Music is proud to present the new video from Richard Dada, aka Richard Larsen of Wellington indie-pop outfit Glass Vaults. Ladies and gents, it’s ‘Rose Quartz’.
Richard Dada is solo project of Glass Vaults’ Richard Larsen, who now lives and makes music in Christchurch/Ōtautahi.
‘Roze Quartz’ is from his debut solo album 001, which came out in 2018.
Dada makes creamy low-fi psychedelic music and is “anti-art, anti-war, anti-nationalism, the rejection of logic, rejection of capitalism and the expression of nonsense”. Sounds bloody good to us.
The video for Roze Quartz was directed by Martin Sagadin who’s directed videos for the likes of Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, Delaney Davidson and lots more.
‘Roze Quartz’ is the second video the pair have worked on together, after the 2018 release of ‘Pink Flamingos’.
