Don McGlashan announces extensive nationwide tour

Don McGlashan has today announced an extensive 17-date nationwide tour, where he'll perform a series of intimate shows in some of the NZ’s favourite venues.

The legendary NZ songwriter will be performing a bunch of new songs, as well as plenty of classics from his extensive back catalogue.

Don will be joined on a handful of dates by legendary drummer/percussionist Chris O’Connor of the Phoenix Foundation, and Antonie Tonnon will open for Don at the Auckland, Wellington, Rangiora and Akaroa shows.

Don is well-known as a member of iconic NZ bands Blam, Blam, Blam – with whom he had the hit 'There Is No Depression In New Zealand'The Front Lawn and The Mutton Birds, with whom he gained songwriting fame with hits including 'Anchor Me' and 'Dominion Road'.

'Anchor Me' won Don New Zealand's top songwriting award – the Silver Scroll, in 1994. He won again in 2006 with his song 'Bathe In the River' performed by The Mt Raskil Preservation Society ft. Hollie Smith.
