RNZ has just received the news that New Zealand musician Eddie Low has died. 

Eddie Low was an Award-winning singer, entertainer, songwriter, composer known as the ‘voice in a million’. He was a member of The Quin Tikis and shared stages with Johnny Cash, Charley Pride and Kenny Rogers.  

Mapuna Producer Tama Muru joins Charlotte Ryan to remember Eddie.

The new Jamie xx album In Waves promises to own the dance floor this summer. 

The English musician, DJ, record producer, and remixer started his career at the age of 18 forming the XX with his friends. Jamie xx has gone on to become one of the most in demand producers, working with the likes of Radiohead and Adele and winning a Grammy award for his first solo album In Colours. 

Jamie xx talks to Charlotte Ryan about collaborating with some incredible artists on the new album, and how time spent in New Zealand influenced his work.

Our guest picking the music is musician, DJ, composer and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe. 

Mark started his career in the late 1990s as a central player in Auckland’s jazz scene and has gone on to make a life travelling the globe to work on interesting musical projects. 

He’s best known for his breakout albums, Six Degrees and Tides Rising and his collaborations are eclectic and prolific - he has contributed to over 300 releases. 

This month Mark is back in Aotearoa, where it all started. Charlotte Ryan catches up on his latest projects and plays some wonderful jazz on the RNZ Mixtape.
