Kiwi DnB legends Shapeshifter have released their highly anticipated 7th studio album Rituals.

Originally hailing from Christchurch, the future-shocked soul outfit are no strangers to success. Record-breaking New Zealand tours, scene-setting appearances at festivals like Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Big Day Out and Parklife, sold-out performances across Europe, multiple music awards, four EPs and five LPs—three with platinum sales.

Their music is crafted by a living, breathing band of musicians, A five-strong lineup of PDigsss (vocals), Sam Trevethick(guitar/synths/sampler), Dan McGruer(synths/sampler), Nick Robinson(bass/synths/MPC) and Darren Mathiassen (drums).

“The essence of Shapeshifter live is that we are completely 100% un-sequenced-no laptop click track. We play 'off the grid' using analogue and digitalsynthesizers.”–Sam Trevethick

2PM LIVE - Che Fu & The Kratez

Che-Fu's groundbreaking 2nd album Navigator charted new territory for New Zealand Hip Hop. Both a critical and commercial success, the album reflected a truly Pacific soul, with its seamless blending of reggae, RnB, Hip Hop and true stories.

The influence and legacy of Navigator that underscores its importance, has paved the way for Aotearoa Hip Hop's subsequent ascendancy.

To Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Navigator, Che-Fu and his band the Kratez reunited for a performance at Auckland's Town Hall earlier this year as part of the Auckland Arts Festival. It was an emotional return to the stage for Che and his whanau in front of an energized and adoring crowd...

3.15  Self Esteem

Rebecca Lucy Taylor is a UK musician who was one half of indie duo Slow Club, before going solo with her fiercely feminist pop project Self Esteem in 2017.

This year she performed on Later with Jools Holland, and made the cover of NME magazine after the success of her breakthrough single 'I Do This All The Time'.

Her second album Prioritise Pleasure has just come out to a host of five star reviews. She spoke with Tony Stamp about success, self-love, and not sending those paragraph-long texts.

4:00 The Mixtape: John Psathas

Award winning composer John Psathas is one of New Zealand’s most internationally acclaimed composers. He’s performed around the world in venues from Windsor Castle to Kalamazoo, Jakarta to Bermuda, Japan to Alaska, and Hong Kong to Tel Aviv.

After decades of splitting his time between teaching at the New Zealand School of Music and fitting composing in when he could, it  was time for a change. He's moved to Waitarere on the Horowhenua coast where he now dedicates all of his time to composing.

He joined Charlotte to talk life, and choose his favourite songs on this episode of The Mixtape
