Respect Yourself: The Story of Stax Records
Stax Records was a totally integrated music studio and record label in Memphis. Music proved to be a weapon for change in the struggle for racial and social equality as well as launching the careers of Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, The Staple Singers, Booker T and the MG's, Sam and Dave and many more. It's a story of triumph and tragedy that ends in litigation and the label going bankrupt.
