12.15pm New Year’s Eve round up - Kora
We speak with Kora, one of the hardest working and omnipresent bands on the road this holiday season.

12.30pm Adventures In Musicland: Anthonie Tonnon in the USA
Singer/songwriter Anthonie Tonnon collected the sounds of American voices, venues and highways around the United States during his six-week tour with Seattle's Shenandoah Davis. Listen in as they travel down the West Coast and east towards Chicago, stopping in big cities, small college towns and the odd mountain ranch.

1.10pm Rough Justice
Legendary New Zealand soul band Rough Justice are reuniting for their first shows in 34 years. From 1977 to 1979, Rough Justice was described as the hardest-working band in New Zealand, despite never releasing any commercial recordings. Fronted by Rick Bryant, one of Aotearoa’s premier interpreter of blues and soul, they toured tirelessly in a former railways bus. Rough Justice played their last show together in January 1980 at the Brown Trout Festival in Dannevirke.
Rough Justice is getting back together for three summer performances. For Access All Areas Rick Bryant, Nick Bollinger and Tony Backhouse reminisce about the musical travels and tribulations of Rough Justice.

1.30pm Live: The Veils at The Studio
The Veils’ frontman Finn Andrew was so excited to be returning to New Zealand to tour in July 2013 that he said he’d “fashion a raft out of mince and cheese pies and Grain Waves and float into the middle of the Waitemata Harbour with a great big grin on my face”. We’re not sure if that ever happened, but The Veils did play this joyously melancholic show at The Studio in Auckland.

French four-piece Croche Dedans play a set of sea-shanties at Wellington’s Museum of City And Sea.

Stink Fest 15th Anniversary 
Low key record label Stink Magnetic put on their third festival, on their fifteenth birthday recently, with bands such as Guitar Wolf Cortina, Boss Christ, Made For Chickens By Robots, I Drink Your Blood and Mysterious Tape Man providing sounds from surf guitar to industrial noise - we get in amongst it.

Red Dawn
New Zealand's metal landscape is littered with bands taking extremity to its nth degree, but Wellington five-piece Red Dawn have something more traditional in mind. They discuss why listening to Iron Maiden is more important than anything you'll ever learn in school, and why operatic vocals are 'killer'.

4:05pm Mixtape: Mike Fabulous
Invited musical guests compile a C60, and talk us through their selections.
Black Seeds guitarist and producer Mike Fabulous has just released his second album under the Lord Echo moniker. He shares the original afrobeat, dub and psychedelic cuts that inform Curiosities.
