10:20 Amazon's departure a shock to film and TV industry

The news that the Government will no longer proceed with the deal to support the Lord of the Rings TV Series has sent shock waves through the film and television industry. Amazon Studios will shift the production to the UK. It's told the Government post-production work on season one will continue here until June 2022, but season two will be filmed in the UK. TV producer and the former owner of local production company, South Pacific Pictures, John Barnett talks to Karyn about the consequences.

10:30 K-Festival - world's first Extended Reality livestreamed concert

The K-Festival 2021 is New Zealand's largest Korean Kiwi community event with authentic South Korean flavours, culture and K-pop beats starring New Zealand artists and the Auckland Symphony Orchestra. It's the world's first concert to be livestreamed on XR - Extended Reality at The Trusts Arena in Henderson tomorrow. If you can't get there, you can experience the concert from home with XR with the help of some really clever technology and technical minds from Victoria University.
