10:45 The Poppy and Star Flight -  an ANZAC Day aviation collaboration

A group of pilots have volunteered their time over the past month to transport two large artworks made of poppies around the country to raise money for charity as we head toward Anzac Day. The Poppy & Star Flight left Ardmore in early April, flying the canvasses for a star and poppy from one community fundraising event to another, where local groups have added on more and more handknitted poppies.  The idea was launched two years ago, by aviation travel broker, Melanie Salisbury, but delayed by lockdown last year.
