The Emissions Trading Scheme is the Government's attempt to put a price on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

It aims to use financial incentives to discourage people from emitting any more greenhouse gases than they have to.

But it has received less than universal acceptance.

Eric Frykberg has been exploring the scheme and reactions to it.
