Thes sculptor, video artist, and writer has been chosen as this year's Harriet Friedlander Fellow.
The residency is gifted every two years by the Arts Foundation is based in New York, and an artist is given $100,000 to live, work and be inspired by the city. Established in 2008 - the late Harriet Friedlander believed New York to be a place that nurtures artists - creatively, personally, and culturally.
For Ana, this comes off the back of winning the Walters Prize last year - New Zealand's top contemporary art award, for her installation A Resilient Heart Like the Manawa.
Ana is known for her thoughtful practices - exploring relationships between land, identity, and language. Her work is exhibited widely throughout the country and held in major national collections including Te Papa.
