Simon Morris investigates the story that this year’s movie sequels are somehow substandard, and wonders what makes a sequel-worthy first episode.  He also checks out two other standard features this year:  a small, local documentary and a low-budget horror film.

Despite the success of sequels to The Avengers and Toy Story, “sequel fatigue” is setting in this year.  But what was the secret of the success of the first films in franchises like Men In Black, Jurassic Park, Iron Man and of course Star Wars?

Camino skies follows six veteran trampers from New Zealand and Australia as they challenge themselves on the famous “Camino de Santiago” – the pilgrimage to the shrine of St James in Spain.

 And Crawl sends a young woman under a house during a Florida hurricane, only to find she’s got unwelcome company!   Produced by horror king Sam Raimi.
