AT THE MOVIES #733                   WHO NEEDS A THOUSAND FACES

Simon Morris wonders whether versatility is all it’s cracked up to be when it comes to judging movie acting.   He looks at two films starring the likable – if one-note – Paul Rudd, and the biopic of the unlikely author of Frankenstein.

Mary Shelley tells the story of an influential author and her relationship with two of England’s greatest poets.   Starring Elle Fanning, Bel Powley and Maisie Williams.

Ant-Man and the Wasp sees the return of the pint-size (and occasionally kingsize) superhero.   Stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily and Michael Douglas.

And an unlikely couple – Paul Rudd again and Steve Coogan – find their glamorous life upended with an unexpected grandson.  Directed by Andrew Fleming (Hamlet 2).
