The Mezzo Band has consistently gained Silver Awards at the NZ Concert Bands Association National North Island Concert Band Festivals from 2009. The Senior Band has gained Silver or Gold (2007) at the same festivals but does not go every year. Last year several Mezzo players attained gold and silver awards in the solo and ensemble sections of the national festival in New Plymouth.
