After travelling south to the frozen continent in a Hercules aircraft and visiting Scott Base, Alison is now at Cape Crozier in Antarctica to meet the penguins – and the scientists studying them. 

Where do the emperor penguins go when they’re not huddled on the ice with their chicks? A team of NIWA researchers hopes to find out, by equipping penguins with data loggers.
