The University of Queensland recently surveyed 2,000 Australians to find out more about their connection to the environment, and it uncovered some interesting results.
It found that people from across the political spectrum share a desire to protect and nurture the environment, not just the outspoken environmentalists you often hear vocalising it.
The results suggest there may be better ways to approach environmental campaigns that could cast a wider net and ultimately have more impact.

They are illustrated by Giselle Clarkson, with advice from science consultant Mike Dickison. $5 from each t-shirt goes to New Zealand conservation groups, so far over 30 thousand dollars has been donated to local groups
