1:15 Central Auckland rat infestation 'out of control'
Usually we think of rat infestations as being out of sight and underground.
But if you go into a central Auckland suburb right now, you'll see big sewer rats out and about in broad daylight.
Pest controller Owen Stobart discovered the infestation, he talks to Jesse about both the size of the problem and the rats themselves! (Look to the right in the photo below.)

1:25 Separating the historic artefacts from the rocks!
It's not often that scientists say they've been able to achieve something with a hundred percent accuracy.
But new AI technology has just been developed at the University of Auckland that outperforms humans in distinguishing between natural rock and stone artifacts.
It will also help in another project to analyse thousands of Māori stone artefacts to tell us more about our history.
Dr Joshua Emmitt is a post doctoral fellow with the University of Auckland's Archeology team, he explains to Jesse what they've done.

Affordable and nourishing food can be hard to come by, especially with the rapid rise in the cost of living. .
Yet the Dunedin Bowling Club foodt ruck offers $4 meals if you bring your own bowl.
It's parked outside the South Dunedin Community Networks and since their launch during Matariki they've been serving up to 350 portions a night.
