1:15 Is Pluto a Planet again?

The debate is raging again... is Pluto a planet or not... and does it really matter? The annual Lunar and Planetary Science Conference is being held in Houston. And we believe it's a hot topic of conversation.

Astronomer, Dr Ian Griffin, is the director at Otago Museum and is taking a keen interest in the debate.

1:25 The History of Fish and Chips

Te Awhina Arahanga has been a bit worried that we're losing our Friday night tradition of good old fish 'n' chips.

So she's spent the past few years writing a book on the history of the combination. Back in 2012, Te Awhina Arahanga was picked for the Maori writer's residency at the Michael King Writer's Centre, to research the topic.

It's called Two Fish And A Scoop: A Social History of Fish and Chips in New Zealand

3:10 Bob Odenkirk: Better Call Saul

Few people have the comic pedigree of Bob Odenkirk; working as a writer at Second City in Chicago and then on Saturday Night Live.

But international recognition, and an Emmy Award nomination have arrived for his role as a lawyer who gets involved in the criminal world in Better Call Saul, a spin off of Breaking Bad.

The show is entering its third season, and will screen on Lightbox next month.

We talk to Bob Odenkirk.

A study has found that the native Kea have the equivalent of an infectious laugh - which triggers other keas to play. It was published in Current Biology

The researchers say it is similar the spread of glee in preschool children, and is something that has previously only been seen in mammals.

The research was conducted by former Auckland University PhD student Raoul Schwing under co-supervision by Stuart Parsons and Ximena Nelson at the University of Canterbury.

Tamsin Orr-Walker, the chair of the Kea Conservation Trust has been looking at the study.
