Meemee Phipps is the New Zealand Chinese author of the novel Destinies Divided.  It's her second work of fiction in a trilogy exploring the Chinese diaspora and cross-cultural romance between Maori and Chinese during the First World War.  Meemee describes some of her own personal history to Lynda Chanwai-Earle.
