Zombie Walks have become all the rage around the world. Groups of people dressed in torn clothing and ghoulish make up roam the streets or do mass re-enactments of Michael Jackson's Thriller. Rotorua's first Zombie Walk will take place next month to raise money for the brain Injury Association.

A pilot program to reward Otago University students for volunteer work will be trialled in Dunedin. The Scarfie Card works like Fly Buys... students build up points with every hour of volunteer work and can cash the points in for rewards like free dinners at local restaurants and even a free lift pass at the Cadrona Skifield.
