CNMI hits daily high of Covid-19 cases again

The Northern Marianas has hit its highest number of Covid-19 cases in a day again, with six people confirmed with the coronavirus on Friday.

There are now 86 cases in the CNMI.

The latest infections were confirmed through travel screening at the Saipan international airport.

Five arrivals were from Guam, which has averaging dozens of cases a day, and the sixth was from an unnamed foreign country.

All six were in quarantine and have been moved into isolation.

There have now been 60 travel-related cases of Covid-19 in the CNMI,

32 from the US mainland, 17 from Guam and 11 from another foreign country.
