Flights have been cancelled for five days in French Polynesia's Marquesas Islands.

Air Taihti said the Twin Otter service provided by Air Archipel had been halted because of a pilot problem.

It said one pilot had been unable to work because of a road accident while the other was now obliged to take his mandated break.

The airline said passengers who were booked for flights between 11 and 15 October had been reimbursed.
