The CNMI utilities company has received more than $US36 million from the US Environmental Protection Agency for 38 projects.

The projects involve drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and organizational restructuring, and the money comes from three grants.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation said while seven of those projects have been completed, the remaining 31 are under construction, in the design phase, or undergoing procurement processing.

Some of the projects covered by the $US36 million are the Lower Base Sewer Phase 1-Lift Station, Forcemain project, and the Kagman Booster Station Renovation.
