Fiji's tourism industry has lost one of its longest-serving leaders.

Dixon Seeto passed away in a Brisbane hospital on Friday following a short illness.
The 68-year-old has been president of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association since 2003.
He also served in various capacities in government and was a leader of the Fiji Chinese community.
