The former Fiji rugby sevens international Amenoni Nasilasila will stand trial on a rape charge in September.

The FBC News reports Nasilasila appeared in the Suva High Court this morning where his four day trial was scheduled for September 16 in Lautoka.
The 26-year-old is alleged to have raped a 24-year-old woman in Sigatoka in December 2018.
The court was informed that the complainant is currently in the United States but has indicated she is available to assist in the trial at any time.
The defence requested that the trial take place at the Lautoka High Court.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for September 2.
