Kwaso is illegally distilled liquor.

The provincial police commander, Superintendent Solomon Sisimia, said recently the chiefs and elders helped police raid a kwaso distillation plant in the Malu'u area.

He said these sorts of drugs are contributing to the rise of antisocial behaviour and he's encouraging the chiefs, community leaders, elders, women and youth to continue to work with police.
