The Northern Marianas governor, Ralph Torres, and the US Congress delegate, Gregorio Kilili Sablan, are leading their respective races in the 2018 general elections.

The Norhern Marianas held their electiions on November 13th - delaying the vote by one week because of the impact of Typhoon Yutu.
In unofficial results from the Commonwealth Election Commission Mr Torres and his running mate, Arnold Palacios, currently lead independent candidate and former governor, Juan Babauta and Rita Sablan, by more than 2,000 votes.
In the race for a seat in US Congress, Mr Sablan currently has more than a 3,000-vote lead against his challenger, Angel Demapan.
