Over 1000 homeless in CNMI after Super Typhoon Yutu

Last week's Super Typhoon Yutu destroyed over 500 homes and left over 1000 people homeless in the Northern Marianas.

Aside from homes totally demolished by Yutu's up to 290 kilometres, nearly 470 homes also sustained major damage.

On Saipan, 462 homes were in complete ruins.

Tinian, which bore the brunt of Super Typhoon Yutu, had 70 homes destroyed and 113 homes damaged.

The island of Rota sustained the least amount of damage with 13 homes destroyed and 38 homes damaged.
