Papua New Guinea's labour minister says the minumum wage is too low and will be reviewed.
The Post Courier reported Mehrra Kipefa telling parliament PNG's hourly minumum wage is $K3.50per hour which is the equivalent of $US1.08 per hour.
Mr Kipefa said the wage would be reviewed after the Minimum Wages Board had a new chair later this year.
In the House, the minister was also asked whether he was aware that "Asian stores" were underpaying Papua New Guineans.
Mr Kipefa said that was among a backlog of issues his department was facing.
