During his weekly interview with TV1Samoa, Tuilaepa announced that he would be filing a lawsuit against Malele Paulo, also known as King Faipopo.

In a release, the government's Press Secretariat said the prime minister's complaint centered on recent accusations posted by Mr Paulo on YouTube and later posted on Facebook.

The release also said Tuilaepa had instructed the Attorney General's office to begin the extradition process for bringing the blogger to "stand trial in Samoa to answer to his defamatory remarks".

In one of his YouTube videos Mr Paulo said he lived in Sydney with his wife and children.
