The acting chief of operations, Maretino Qiolevu, says the incidents - one in Suva and one in Nadi - involved the officers being assaulted by inmates in police cells.
He told Fiji Village that the officers went into cells to check on inmates, where they were punched repeatedly until colleagues intervened.
The suspects are expected to be charged with assault.
