A group of young men, from the village of Nadarivatu, claim they were tortured by the police last month - the latest in a long list of brutality complaints against the country's police force.

In parliament today, the minister, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, said the investigation into that case had been completed and the file handed to the office of the Director for Public Prosecutions.

Ratu Inoke said nine cases of police brutality were reported in 2017.
